Registered Nurse

An opportunity exists within our tight-knit Health Centre team for an experienced Registered Nurse. You will join a roster alongside a small, supportive team of Health professionals, within the hours of 7.30am to 6.30pm, totalling 16 hours per week worked over a five-day fortnight. On-call shifts for evenings and weekends will also be rostered amongst the team, to meet the needs of our Boarding community and day school.

Wesley Colleges Health Centre provides comprehensive health support services for students at the College from Pre-Kindy through to Year 12, including responsibility for providing health care for our Boarding students and ensuring the availability of after-hours care if required. Our health support extends from first aid response, staff training, medication administration to injury management and pastoral care.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Full and current registration with AHPRA;
  • Demonstrated general nursing experience, with paediatric, emergency, or school nursing experience desirable;
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to build relationships within the school community;
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver outstanding care;
  • The flexibility to work independently, with limited supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using information and learning technologies such as Synergetic, REACH, Schoolbox, and Microsoft 365 applications is advantageous.
