About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QC Inspector to support quality excellence across our fabrication and manufacturing operations in Waroona. This role is critical to ensuring all materials and fabricated components meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements before being delivered to site.
Located approximately 1.5 hours south of Perth, this position is best suited to a local candidate, or someone already based in the Peel region
You will work closely with production, welding, engineering, and management teams, playing an active role in maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement.

This role is critical to ensuring all materials and fabricated components meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements before being delivered to site.

You will work closely with production, welding, engineering, and management teams, playing an active role in maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections on simple and complex fabricated parts
- Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, projections, and welding symbols
- Measure dimensions, assess functionality, and verify conformance to design requirements
- Identify and reject non-conforming materials or products
- Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and corrective action records
- Communicate quality issues clearly with production and welding teams
- Perform gauge calibration and manage the issuing of gauging equipment
- Ensure all activities align with Quality Procedures and the Safety Management System
Essential Experience & Skills
- Trade qualification as a Fabricator / Boilermaker
- 57 years experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Minimum 2 years experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control
- Strong drawing interpretation skills, including welding symbols
- Experience using measuring equipment, jigs, and gauges
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills across workshop and management teams
- Forklift experience
- Competency in Microsoft Office
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within formal Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and corrective action processes
