About the Project:
RAAF Base Darwin is one of the Air Force’s main forward operating bases. The Mid-Term Refresh Project will provide Base Support Infrastructure improvements at RAAF Darwin to support the sustained operation of the Base. The Project will develop and deliver new main and heavy vehicle entrances along with support civil and infrastructure works. It will also replace the potable water, fire water, and sewer reticulation networks on the Base.
In December , Defence awarded Laing ORourke as the Managing Contractor for the delivery of the project with Construction forecast to be completed by mid-.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Quality & Completions Engineer to join us on the project in Darwin, NT. This role will be diverse in the tasks required and be responsible for supporting the delivery team in reporting, liaising with the delivery team, subcontractors and stakeholders in document review, estate asset information collation and process control.
Key responsibilities
- Fully understand and interpret the quality & completion requirements and deliverables for the Project
- Assist the project team and subcontractors with Project Quality Plan & Estate Information Plan and the development of quality & completion related deliverables
- Provide technical advice/support to the project team and subcontractors on quality & completion related matters.
- Assist engineering team with preparing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists and work packs to ensure quality requirements are captured
- Coordinate closure and ensure completeness of all construction work packages
- Manage the Defence Estate Asset information workflow coordination with Stakeholders and Consultants.
- Providing reporting and monitoring data from multiple digital platforms
- Assisting the delivery team in digital compilation of construction conformance records
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Construction Management
- Minimum of 5 years of related technical experience within a project delivery environment.
- Technical knowledge to interpret drawings, specifications, and quality records
- Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems
- Familiar with the Defence Estate Handover Takeover processes
