Your new role

Based in Cairns on an exciting infrastructure project, as QA Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Manager to deliver various projects successfully. Your responsibilities will include interpreting plans, estimating materials and costs, maintaining compliance with the IMS, and supervising construction sites. You will lead efforts to uphold health, safety, environmental, quality, and financial standards across all project activities. Additionally, you will act as the Project Quality Representative (PQR), ensuring that quality management processes are implemented and adhered to.

What you’ll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you will need:
  • A strong background in construction project management or engineering.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
  • Experience with interpreting plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of WHS and HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage subcontractors, site managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining records, analysing drawings, and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
  • The ability to identify inefficiencies and contribute to cost-saving solutions.
