GM3 is an emerging Australian metallurgical coal mining entity owned by global investment entity Golden Energy and Resources (GEAR) and M Resources, a market leader in metallurgical coal industry services.

Illawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) produces premium quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position based at the GM3 office in the Brisbane CBD.

As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the purchasing team, managing procurement processes, optimising spend, and ensuring compliance with policies and timelines.

Other key responsibilities include, but arent limited to: 

  • Managing and coordinating the creation of purchase orders within the Supply Standard
  • Promoting clear communication within the Supply department and other stakeholders
  • Educating vendors on the Procure to Pay process and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Running and analysing reports to ensure timely delivery and vendor payment

ABOUT YOU 

  • Leading and managing teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Using SAP and understanding P2P processes to drive operational efficiency
  • Effectively prioritising, planning, and organising workload to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence across teams

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines
