Role Snap Shot

We require a capable and energetic Cadastral Project Surveyor within our Urban Land Survey team to assist in the delivery of urban development projects, including greenfield, medium density (from two lots and above) and high-rise building subdivision projects.

You will also work on the cadastral elements of high-profile projects for state government, including Crown survey, transport, and service authority work, plus general survey work for local government, architects and builders etc.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a mix of on-site responsibilities (2-3 days per week) and time spent working from home or the office.  You will be required to provide supervised assistance to a Senior Licensed Surveyor on greenfield estate and high-rise building subdivision projects.

How You Will Contribute 

  • Undertake and oversee fundamental surveying field tasks to ensure the successful delivery of urban development projects (and other areas of the business as required), including but not limited to: –
  • Re-establishment surveys
  • Feature & level surveys
  • Set-out surveys (including pegging)
  • As-constructed surveys
  • Lease Area surveys
  • Be 100% compliant with all internal safety policies and procedures
  • High-rise building subdivision measure ups.
  • Achieve productivity goals and assist in reaching project invoicing targets;
  • Complete and review field data reductions and plans to ensure accuracy and QA requirements are met;
  • Assist with supervised creation of fee proposals and tenders
  • Diligent with respect to the ongoing care and maintenance of all survey vehicles and equipment used to ensure safe and proper working order

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Degree qualification in surveying;
  • Sound understanding of cadastral surveying principles and the subdivision process;
  • Knowledge of various survey technologies including robotic total stations, GPS, terrestrial laser scanning and mobile laser scanning;
  • Intermediate to advanced LisCAD and ACAD skills;
  • Construction Induction Card (VPAU349 – Work Safely in the Construction Industry);
