Project Planner

ugl are seeking an experienced project planner to join our team supporting a maintenance shutdown. this will be a casual role with an expected 6-month duration, commencing november .

this role will see you play a critical role in the planning, execution, and delivery of upcoming dust suppression project in newman, wa. you will be working a 5/2 roster in the perth cbd, then a 2/1 fly-in fly-out roster once started on site, from february (approximate only).

key responsibilities\:

  • develop and maintain comprehensive workpacks for various phases of the project.
  • collaborate with the client and project management teams to ensure accurate detail in the clients shutdown plan and the detailed documentation provided to the pm and the client.
  • identify and address potential issues and risks within the work schedule and workpacks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • conduct regular reviews and updates of workpacks to reflect project changes and advancements.
  • provide technical support and guidance to the project team, ensuring seamless execution of workpacks.
  • support with qa/qc works.

about you\:

  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • have a strong mechanical background
  • proficiency in microsoft project
  • strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical) – desired
