About the role

Join Orica as the Project Manager – Underground, based at our Didipio site, and lead a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and achieving critical business goals. This position offers the opportunity to oversee site operations while ensuring compliance with Oricas SHES standards, regulatory requirements, and quality policies.

What you will be doing

Safety, Health, Environment & Security (SHES):

  • Champion SHES culture by ensuring compliance with Orica’s policies, regulatory requirements, and customer standards.
  • Oversee site-specific SH&E improvement activities, including the implementation of SH&E plans, LOAs, and change control processes.
  • Ensure adherence to security regulations, including SSAN compliance, for safe and secure site operations.

Commercial Ownership:

  • Optimize site efficiency by managing resources, equipment utilization, and ANE raw material costs while minimizing stock discrepancies.
  • Control fixed costs, oversee unplanned maintenance (UAM), and ensure quality policies are implemented and adhered to.
  • Build and maintain a skilled, motivated workforce by focusing on training, development, and alignment with Oricas “Deliver the Promise Principles.”

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Lead site teams by fostering cross-functional collaboration and alignment with Indonesia Business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic influencer, driving operational value and ensuring planning initiatives meet business goals.
  • Coordinate closely with the commercial team to enhance site operations and overall performance.

Clever Customer Solutions:

  • Deliver value by identifying customer opportunities, improving services, and addressing operational challenges proactively.
  • Meet customer contract obligations by ensuring service level agreements are achieved and addressing deficiencies promptly.
  • Provide actionable customer feedback to Account Managers, contributing to innovative solutions and enhanced relationships.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mining or any related Engineering field.
  • More than 15 years of hands-on mining expertise or at least 710 years of relevant industrial and operational experience
  • Strong understanding of operational best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to engage and convey messages effectively to diverse and multicultural audiences
  • Proven ability to lead and train small teams while working effectively in multicultural environments.
