The Role
As a Project Manager Survey & Inspection, you will oversee and manage hydrographic survey and inspection projects in the region (Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia) and globally, from award through to completion, working with the Client to meet the projects objectives. You will be accountable for the project performance and will also provide support and input into Tenders as requested.
This role is an office-based position, with occasional requirement for onsite or offshore support in a specialist capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for delivering survey and inspection projects from cradle to grave; responsible for financial management (end to end cost management of project budget), HSE performance, technical compliance and schedule performance.
- Single point of contact for the Client.
- Oversee daily project operations, including reporting and coordination of the work.
- Manage subcontractor performance.
- Assist with on-site mobilisation and demobilisation activities where required.
- Liaise with data centre or other services for production of final reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree level qualification or equivalent is required.
- Project Management/Practitioner qualification is desirable, or an equivalent level of job-related experience.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience in managing survey projects within the Oil & Gas and Renewables Industries
- A good working knowledge of Survey Operations: Renewable Energy Projects AHO HIPP Hydrographic Mapping Surveys or International Equivalent Geophysical & Geotechnical Surveys Offshore Construction Support ROV Pipeline and Structure Inspection Rig Positioning Services Well Positioning Services LBL Acoustic Positioning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- General understanding and exposure to subsea projects and development
- Category A or B Hydrographic Surveying Recognised Course (highly desirable)
- SSSI Level 1 or Level 2 Hydrographic Surveying Accreditation (highly desirable)
- Previous experience in Diving, ROV, and Subsea Construction operations within the Oil & Gas and Renewables Industry
- General understanding of marine and vessel operations
