Reporting into the Operations Manager Rental & Safety Services, the new Project Manager – Rental & Safety Services (“PM”) will be based in Perth, Western Australia. This dynamic, hands-on PM role, requires a leader who leads by way of example, actively engages in operational tasks, and ensures projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget. The role involves extensive travel, including deployments of up to 28 days, multiple times a year. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, train, develop, and grow a team of technicians and safety professionals;
- Oversee resource allocation, ensuring the availability of staff and equipment for projects;
- Define RSS project objectives, scopes, roles, responsibilities, resourcing requirements, and risks;
- Manage project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure timely delivery;
- Track costs and maintain adherence to budget constraints;
- Adjust project scopes, schedules, and budgets, as necessary;
- Ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place and customer satisfaction is met;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams;
- Deliver hands-on application, product, and safety training to internal and external customers;
- Perform service duties for safety device products as required, and;
- Always uphold compliance and promote a safety-first approach.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Formal technical qualification or demonstrated relevant experience;
- Working knowledge of Draeger safety devices and / or equivalent products;
- 5 years’ experience in similar role and working environment;
- Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (preferred);
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment (preferred);
- Well versed with articulating company and product information to external and internal stakeholders;
- Strong understanding of pricing structures and gross margins;
- Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems, applications, and office tools;
- Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
- Exemplary understanding of compliance rules, with a proactive mindset and the ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards;
- Strong stakeholder management, problem solving, facilitation and negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods (up to 28 days multiple times per year), and;
- Current Driving Licence.
A Police Check will be required for this position.
