We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple government building projects in Perth CBD.
The successful candidate will join a construction company with over 95 years of experience delivering projects across government and private sectors, specialising in Design & Construct, Construct Only, Early Contractor Involvement, and heritage/conservation projects. The company is committed to high-quality outcomes, strong client relationships, and structured, transparent processes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of government building projects from procurement to handover
- Coordinate project planning, scheduling, resourcing, and milestone tracking
- Ensure compliance with government requirements, specifications, and documentation standards
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with oversight of cost, quality, and progress
Contracts & Commercial Management (Strong CA Experience Required)
- Administer head contract obligations and manage subcontract procurement and onboarding
- Prepare and manage RFIs, variations, EOTs, progress claims, cost forecasts, and cashflow reporting
- Conduct detailed cost control and financial reporting
- Ensure accurate handling of project accounts and documentation
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as key liaison for government clients, consultants, superintendents, and subcontractors
- Lead project meetings and provide updates, progress reports, and presentations
- Build strong relationships and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
Site Coordination
- Collaborate with Site Managers, Supervisors, and Engineers to ensure project success
- Attend site regularly to monitor operations, quality, safety, and compliance
- Manage subcontractor performance to meet program, safety, and quality standards
Risk, Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate contract records and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with government procurement rules and Australian Standards
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
Skills & Experience
- 5 years experience as a Contract Administrator / Project Manager
- Strong hands-on Contract Administration experience
- Proven track record delivering projects for government clients
- Experience with Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial builders
- Skilled in subcontractor management, budgets, schedules, RFIs, variations, EOTs, procurement, progress claims, and cost reporting
- Excellent client communication and stakeholder management
- Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, Jobpac, Cheops)
Qualifications & Attributes
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Valid White Card
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and government procurement processes
- Leadership presence with a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Highly organised, commercially astute, and detail-oriented
- Able to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Available to start immediately
