About the role

TheProduction Manageris aFull-time position, based atSomersby, NSW. Reporting to theOperations Manager, you will be accountable for production performance and assisting with the production team on-site.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee & manage production activities to ensure expectations of safety and environmental performance, operational productivity, quality & customer service are being achieved.
  • Develop & implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles for the production and operations teams.
  • Develop and manage labour and production budgets while optimising labour on site.
  • Implement the operator maintenance and inspection program to assist in achieving OEE (Operational Equipment Effectiveness) targets.
  • Lead the Production team as part of a multifunctional site team with clear and open communication to ensure a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Champion a safety focus in pursuit of a zero-harm environment

What you bring to the role

  • Previous experience inProduction Managementroles or similar with the ability to drive high performance in manufacturing operational activities
  • Engineering/Process/Manufacturing related Tertiary qualification preferred
  • Experience working in high performing complex manufacturing or FMCG organisations
  • An eye for detail and the ability to think analytically.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • A hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • A commitment to health & Safety
  • An ability to manage projects.
  • Possesses a financial acumen
