The Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned Principal Security Engineer to take on the role of technical lead for our cyber security program. In this crucial position, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical security matters, playing a pivotal role in the identification, design, and implementation of security controls that safeguard the companys assets.
This is a unique opportunity for a professional seeking to lead the full lifecycle of a cyber security program. Whether you are well-versed in these responsibilities or looking to expand your technical expertise across multiple domains, this role offers a platform to significantly broaden your influence and take on greater ownership of security initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
What your day will look like
- Lead security engineering initiatives to ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO, APRA, and CDR.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security by design (DevSecOps) into all software projects.
- Provide expert technical security support to teams across Operations, Automation, and AI functions.
- Proactively identify and address vulnerabilities in the security framework with targeted solutions.
- Promote technical processes that encourage a security-first culture across the organisation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to address and remediate security weaknesses in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate security risks and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deliver comprehensive reports and regular updates on security findings to management.
Enough about us, let talk about you
- Experience in a technical leadership role or equivalent responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
- Expertise in Identity Management, DevSecOps, CI/CD, ZScaler, Firewalls, Azure WAF, and Vulnerability Management.
- 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelors or masters degree, or equivalent qualification.
- Microsoft Security Certifications.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or similar.
