Resourceful Recruitment is currently working with a national engineering and advisory consultancy that specialises in delivering innovative and sustainable urban development and infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a growing presence in Queensland, they are looking to appoint a Principal Project Engineer to join their high-performing Brisbane team.
The successful candidate will have experience in complex projects from early planning stages through to construction. You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team with expertise across land development, stormwater and flood management, town planning and engineering design.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects across urban development
- Managing engineering design inputs for DA and BA submissions, with a focus on stormwater, earthworks, roads and utilities
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Providing mentorship to junior engineers and supporting team development
- Producing high-quality technical reports, flood assessments, stormwater management plans and tender documentation
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience, ideally with exposure to land development and urban infrastructure
- RPEQ accreditation (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong working knowledge of DA/BA approval processes, Queensland planning frameworks and council engagement
- Proven technical expertise in flood modelling, stormwater design, and water infrastructure
- Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
