Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of Plumber/Pipefitter to work in the Surface Operations – HV & Refrigeration Team.

The Role 

Reporting to the Supervisor, your primary responsibility will include performing planned and breakdown maintenance tasks safely and effectively while maintaining a high quality of work and housekeeping standards. This is a residential position based in Mount Isa, working a Monday to Friday dayshift only roster. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing planned and breakdown maintenance tasks
• High level of work and housekeeping standards
• Ability to work closely with our business units and leaders on an ongoing basis

You will have the following skillset and attributes:

• Trade qualification – Plumbing
• Gas Fitting (an advantage)
• Manual drivers’ licence
• Recent field experience is highly regarded
• Personal role modelling and delivery of high safety standards
• An emphasis on continual improvement and development is essential
• Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills
• Ability to work positively in a team environment or unsupervised
• A sound understanding of workplace OH&S
• Flexible attitude, strong customer focus and excellent time management skills
• Willingness to work extra hours when required
• Ability to achieve results
