Your new role as the Plant Mechanic Specialist for Machine Rebuilds will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.
About Welshpool
The Mining Rebuilds workshop at Welshpool, WA, offers cost-effective rebuilds and repairs for Caterpillar equipment. We specialise in certified rebuilds, powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Roster – 5 days, 2 off (2 weeks of days & 1 week of nights) 10hrs 30min lunch break OR 7 days, 7 off, 7 nights, 7 off 12hrs per day 30min lunch break
Remuneration: $167K – $201K Superannuation and dependent on experience, potential overtime opportunity and night shift opportunity
What you’ll do:
- Accountable for the completion of all aspects of rebuilds and repairs across a varied fleet of Caterpillar machines
- Ensure that all replacements and repairs are carried out with the intention of rebuilding customer CAT fleets to extend their life and improve productivity
- Opportunity to mentor & coach lesser-skilled technicians and apprentices whilst working on trade-related activities.
Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualified – Mobile Plant Technology
- High level of mentoring and leadership experience (leading hand/supervisor experience)
- Advanced diagnostic skills
- Advanced ability to interpret repair & fault-finding using guides (CAT SIS)
- CAT Dealership experience with traditional CAT fleet OHT, Grader or Loader
- High level of competence on mobile low voltage electrical & Air Conditioning systems with advanced schematics skills
