Pipe Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Welder
We are currently seeking experienced Pipe Fitters / Mechanical Fitters / Welders for ongoing workshop and site-based work. This is an excellent opportunity for trade-qualified professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and working safely in fast-paced industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and plans to determine job requirements
- Fabricate and weld structural steel assemblies and pipe spooling to relevant standards
- Assemble boiler components, pressure vessels, and other structural forms
- Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and company policies
- Manage workloads to meet project timelines and quality expectations
- Work autonomously or as part of a team
- Minimise material waste and rework
Essential Requirements:
- Trade qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication / Boilermaking / Welding) or equivalent
- Strong experience with GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes
- Ability to pass welding/coded tests as required
- Current White Card
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
- Confined Space, Gas Testing, Working at Heights
- EWP and Forklift tickets
- Q-Fever vaccination
