John Paul College is seeking a talented and dedicated Piano Coordinator to join our thriving Performing Arts Department in !
As a Piano Co-Ordinator, you will be a key leader in our Performing Arts community, responsible for the sequential, skills-based curriculum while supporting students, staff, and the community in achieving musical success.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the vision and execution of our piano instrumental program across Primary and Secondary campuses and will be directly involved in fostering an engaging, inclusive, and high-performing musical environment while supporting students of all skill levels to reach their full potential.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of a dynamic piano program across K-12.
- Provide high-level accompaniment for choral rehearsals, recitals, and AMEB examinations.
- Collaborate with the Head of Performing Arts to plan, direct, and oversee performances, workshops and ensembles (as appropriate).
- Manage program resources, coordinate tutors, and ensure the program aligns with JPC’s strategic vision.
- Inspire excellence while supporting the personal and musical growth of students.
All employees at JPC are subject to employment screening for child-related work and must hold current first aid and CPR certification.
This roles regular term-time schedule offers the flexibility to balance personal commitments while maintaining full-time employment. With 40 weeks per year of full-time hours (term time plus three additional weeks), this position provides a family-friendly opportunity for the successful candidate.
About You:
You are a highly skilled pianist and accompanist with a proven ability to lead and inspire.
Your exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills enable you to work effectively with students, staff, and parents, fostering collaboration and driving success across all facets of the piano program. You are adept at managing multiple priorities and have a proactive, solution-focused approach that ensures the smooth operation of co-curricular activities.
Your passion for music education shines through in everything you do. You have a genuine ability to inspire students of all skill levels to reach their full potential, creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Equally, your ability to mentor and guide staff helps build a cohesive, high-performing team, united in the shared goal of delivering excellence in music education and performance.
With experience managing co-curricular music programs, you understand what it takes to create and sustain a successful and inclusive music culture. You are well-versed in fostering excellence in performance, directing ensembles, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver memorable and impactful musical experiences.
You hold tertiary qualifications in music, music education, or a related field, further enhancing your depth of expertise.
