This growing resources-based company is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their small, yet growing payroll team. Initially offered on a 6-month contract, the role will be based in the Brisbane CBD offices, which offers excellent end-of-trip facilities, various lunchtime dining options and public transport connections. The role will also offer 3 days work from home once settled into the role.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Onboarding new employees to the payroll system
- Prepare and process various payrolls
- EBA / Award interpretation
- Payroll reconciliations
- Handle payroll enquiries from employees and managers
- Assisting with system implementation and system testing as required
- Assisting with setting up payroll procedures
- Building relationships with key internal stakeholders, including site staff and management
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
- Extensive payroll experience within a medium to large organisation
- Experience working with multiple payroll systems
- Strong general knowledge of payroll requirements and legislation
- Excellent communication with strong rapport-building skills
- Ability to work in a fluid / changing environment
