About the Role:

The Arnotts Group is seeking a payroll professional to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our bustling Virginia factory a key pillar of our operations.

In this role, you will become an integral part of a collaborative and supportive team, working across our six hundred strong workforce to ensure smooth and accurate payroll processing. Your expertise will be key in managing weekly and fortnightly pay runs, all while contributing to a positive and thriving workplace culture.

What your days looks like:

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing with precision, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and Fair Work legislation.
  • Oversee all payroll activities related to onboarding and offboarding, including accurate and timely completion of complex termination calculations and estimates.
  • Administer, monitor, and report on statutory obligations, such as superannuation, workers’ compensation, and other compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits, including interactions with suppliers and auditors.
  • Engage proactively with employees, leaders, and People & Culture teams, providing expert support to resolve payroll queries and issues efficiently.

The Ingredients for Success:

  • Minimum of 4 years managing end-to-end payroll processes with a deep understanding of complex systems and operations.
  • Efficiently manage weekly payroll for a diverse workforce of approximately 500 employees across multiple employment groups.
  • Firsthand experience with Preceda and Kronos systems, along with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment legislation, payroll statutory requirements, and industrial instruments, with expertise in interpreting Enterprise Agreements.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels while fostering productive and collaborative working relationships.
