Overhaul Labour – Unit 2 Major Overhaul

NRG Gladstone operating Services is seeking supplementary labour for the upcoming Unit 2 Overhaul at the Gladstone Power Station, located in Central Queensland. Gladstone is the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Capricorn Bunker group of Islands and has a history of economic growth supported by a young dynamic community. 

About Unit 2 Overhaul :

Overhaul labour will be employed as casuals with a 25% casual loading. 

The Overhaul commences Tuesday the 5th of May to Tuesday 30th June , labour engagement will be dependent on overhaul requirements inside and around this date range. 

Overhaul hours of work will generally be:

Monday     7am – 5:30pm (Site normal week) and 7am – 5pm (Site RDO week)

Tuesday     7am – 5:30pm

Wednesday 7am – 5:30pm

Thursday     7am – 5:30pm

Friday     7am – 3:30pm

Saturday     7am – 3:00pm

Sunday Worked as required including Overtime.

Positions required for the upcoming Overhaul include:

Boilermakers

Mechanical Fitters

Machinists 

Electricians including E&I Electricians

Plant Services Employee (PSEs) including Riggers, Doggers, and Crane Operators.

Plant Services Employee (PSEs) are required to provide support in a range of maintenance activities across site including Forklift and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Operators, Riggers, Doggers, Crane Operators, Linishers, Trades Assistants and Industrial Cleaners.

Pre-Employment Requirements: 

All applicants must have:

CURRENT relevant trade certificates, licences and certifications.

Industry White Card

Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical.

Confined Space (must be completed within the last 3 years)
