The John Paul College OSHC team is growing, and we are currently seeking applications from engaged and enthusiastic educators to support the ongoing operations of the College’s Outside School Hours and Vacation Care.
Job Description
About the Roles:
Outside School Hours Care is offered daily in term-time in the morning from 7am and until 6pm each evening Monday to Friday. We also run an outstanding and engaging holiday program across vacation care.
Staff are employed casually in order to support the various activities and to be available across a diverse range of shifts and will be responsible for interacting with and effectively supervising the children of the service, whilst maintaining our clean and safe environment
The key responsibilities will include
- Adhere to all policies and procedures;
- Building relationships with children, their families and school staff;
- Implementation of the service program based on the children’s interest;
- Ensure a high standard of quality care is provided to children at all times
- Evaluate and reflect on activities; and
- Other duties as required by the service Supervisor
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
You are someone who is able to deliver fun, engaging and interactive activities for primary school aged children.
You are an active person who strives to nurture and develop children’s life skills, which compliments and supports children’s experiences, opportunities and relationships; in school, at home and in the community.
You have a demonstrated ability to work unsupervised as well as being an effective team player with a positive can-do attitude.
On the job training will be provided, with Cert III, Diploma qualified educators highly regarded and encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements:
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification or willingness to obtain
