Job Description
About the Role
Successful candidate for the role of optical Engineer candidate is expected to undertake optical design, assembly, alignment, testing and maintenance. Also, writing technical documentation and reporting is also part of the routine.
Duties will include:
- Development of new optical subsystems;
- Contribute to the Instrumentation of cutting-edge opto-electronics subsystems;
- Combine novel technologies or concepts to support the innovation and development of EOS IP; and
- Support the Engineering team, undertake and document investigative experiments to inform the companys research activities.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
We are looking for someone who can collaborate in a highly-paced environment and is a problem solver with attention to detail. The one who is self-motivated and a forward thinker. A person should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelors degree in Physics/Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience with bulk optical design or optical instrumentation.
- Experience with the alignment and operation of Class 4 lasers, pulsed and CW.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
