Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager Aquatic to oversee the efficient operations of our iconic Aquatic Centre. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning and managing high-level events, pool operations and facility maintenance.
As the Operations Manager Aquatic, you will play a crucial role in rebuilding and revitalizing our team, shaping a culture of collaboration and excellence. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering the development of your team, ensuring they achieve their objectives while creating a positive and productive work environment. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key to managing the competing needs of the Centres user groups. Additionally, you will evaluate maintenance requirements, and address emerging risks to maintain a safe and efficient pool environment.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment, with a focus on rebuilding and revitalizing the team.
- Experience in developing and implementing operational systems and procedures to ensure high standards of service delivery and safety.
- Proven ability to monitor and manage budgets, providing continuous reporting and evaluation to align operational needs with budgetary priorities.
- Expertise in identifying and addressing emerging risks and operational service issues, ensuring a safe working culture.
- Ability to think critically and develop practical solutions to complex operational challenges.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services and promoting positive customer experiences.
What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience relating to the management of public venues
- Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set (SISSS)
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role.
- Able to work on weekends if required
