As part of the group Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs.  Lindsay Rural and the Hunters business provide essential services and products to rural Australia across most Australian growing regions.

Today we employ over 1,800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.  

About the Role: 

Our Brisbane Depot has an opening for a Linehaul Allocator.

The Linehaul Allocator is integral to the successful day to day operations of the organisation.

The primary purpose of this position is ensuring freight is received and loaded in a timely manner to maximise efficiency while exceeding customer expectations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordination of freight and deliveries
  • Managing of warehouse floor, forklift drivers and stock on site.
  • Lead staff hands on and by example
  • Monitoring compliance with fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace
  • Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements
  • Equipment and resource planning
  • Enforcing businesses process and rules

About you:  

To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • BFM accreditation required – ensure understanding on NHVR law and legislation as well as legal weight requirements
  • Strong communication and problem solving ability
  • The ability to multitask
  • Sound knowledge of metropolitan and regional freight networks
  • Flexibility in work hours to include weekends as required

A current & valid HR / HC & a forklift licence will be highly regarded but not essential
