Harness Energy Services is a premium labour supply provider, connecting skilled professionals with industry leaders. We are currently seeking experienced Rig Mechanics, Heavy Diesel Mechanics, and Fitters for ad hoc work within the Oil & Gas sector.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for experienced mechanics looking for flexible, short-term work. Youll be responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on drilling rigs and associated equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair air compressors, pumps, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, drilling equipment, and diesel engines.
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on vital rig machinery.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of fuels, lubricants, gases, paints, and hazardous materials.
  • Collaborate with the Rig Manager, Driller, and Electrician to schedule maintenance and minimise downtime.

Preferred Experience with:

  • Caterpillar & Detroit Engines
  • PLC / Hydraulics
  • 4×4 Vehicles
  • Centrifugal Pumps
  • Hydraulic Systems (Open & Closed Loop)
  • Pneumatic Systems

What You Need to Apply:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (Diesel)
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Open Manual Drivers Licence
