Job Description

About the role:

Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting individuals in their daily lives? BallyCara, a leading aged care organisation, is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Bundoora site three – four days per week. The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Deliver personalised therapy services to elderly clients, focusing on enabling their participation in meaningful daily activities.
  • Report to the Senior Health Practitioner, collaborating to develop and implement tailored care plans.
  • Assess and address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of clients to support their independence and well-being.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families, ensuring they are empowered to manage their own care.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Community Occupational Therapist, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a new region.
  • Current national Police Check clearance or the ability to get one through the BallyCara recruitment process
  • COVID-19 vaccinations as per Government recommendations
