About Role:
Nurse Educator at IHNA (Institute of Health and Nursing Australia) plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Job tasks and responsibilities

Nurse Educator leads academic delivery in the Diploma of Nursing program, guiding student learning, assessing assignments, conducting simulated and clinical assessments, and collaborating with students, support staff, and educators under the supervision of the Course Coordinator.

Your role may include:

  • Provide details and upload evidence in Knowledge Hub for ongoing industry currency, professional experience placement activities and professional development activities undertaken monthly.
  • Submit monthly reports on measures taken to engage the students during sessions through creative activities and programs to deliver quality learning experience.
  • Assessment markings done in accordance with IHNA Policy and Procedure with constructive and timely feedback provided on the assessments completed to encourage students and support progression.
  • Conducting simulated & practical placement assessments
  • Provide monthly report on Student satisfaction surveys conducted and ensure the satisfaction rate is maintained at minimum 75%.
  • Feedback collected from the facility as required by IHNA policy and procedure and submit it in Knowledge Hub.
  • Provide a monthly report on: Support activities provided for students with learning difficulty and special needs to ensure they complete the course adequately. Attend monthly educators meetings.
  • Provide at least 2 new innovative and creative ideas annually through Staff Self-Service Portal to enhance quality program delivery.
  • Provide academic and administrative support to the Curriculum Development team for developing Curriculum resources including contents.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree or higher qualification in Nursing
  • Minimum 2-years experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Vocational competencies at least to the level of qualifications delivered or units of competencies or and any other requirements as stated in the relevant training package.
  • TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • 1-year experience as a Nurse Educator is highly desirable
  • Incumbent of this position is required to maintain the vocational currency and provide evidence of the same to Human Resources, throughout the period of their employment.

  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one
