National Operations Programme Lead

The Opportunity

Downer is currently looking for a new Programme Lead to join our Energy and Utilities team in Auckland. This role will be responsible for the end to end ES, OSP/ISP and Fixed Line build activity integrating activities across multiple functional lines, while ensuring the commercial and client objectives are managed effectively to provide the best possible outcome.

• Programme governance for all end to end ES and Fixed Line build activity reporting and managing all milestones, deliverables, and client SLAs
• Project management for all end to end ES and Fixed Line build activities
• Work with the Operational Manager to optimise overall workforce productivity, fit-for-purpose staff and harmonizing the internal and external resourcing mix deployed to each project
• Be responsible for the commercial success of all end to end ES and Fixed Line build activity in line with DNZ expectations
• Assist in the development and application of Downer Standards and processes to drive efficient and consistent operational outcomes
• Provide timely and risk focused progress reporting as required
• Nurture and develop a Zero Harm culture
• Collaborate effectively with key process partners to enable ongoing improvements to business performance
• Developing client relationship and positively engaging to influence in a manner that achieves the right outcomes
• Regional client relationship lead for build activity, attending governance meetings, identifying growth opportunities, and promoting Downer capability

• Experience in leading programmes of build work including improvement initiatives
• Experience managing multiple project resources including end users and senior stakeholders
• Workshop Facilitation
• Well organised and disciplined
• Effectiveness as a communicator
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Able to identify and organise resolution of problems
• Commercial acumen
