ROLE EXPECTATIONS:

This role is very vital part of the growth and future of the business. Here is what you can expect from this role:

  • Own and manage a versatile pipeline of major projects, overseeing their progress from initial development to final closing and transition to the project management team.
  • Score and qualify new opportunities based on established criteria to ensure the best fit for the business.
  • Collaborate with sales managers and directors to develop creative strategies for securing new deals.
  • Focus on new business development by targeting projects that meet specific criteria, building relationships to secure opportunities and gain access to key decision-makers.
  • Stay informed by monitoring industry sources to ensure comprehensive coverage of upcoming projects in key markets.
  • Design and implement strategies to nurture and grow key market relationships, driving organic lead generation.
  • Coordinate and lead client meetings, including engaging with key influencers (such as specifiers, project managers, and builders), and conduct impactful showroom visits to showcase offerings, always with the goal of increasing success in major projects.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of tenders for projects in the pipeline, working closely with the product team and external agencies to guarantee that product and technical submissions are correct and delivered on time.

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS:

The successful candidate must have the drive and willingness to learn a new industry and products. You’ll be required to align with most of these requirements:

  • Proven and results-driven sales professional in the tiles industry, consistently achieving strong annual turnover, delivering high-quality service
  • Expert in consultative selling, with a proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from planning to closing, excelling in rapport building, understanding customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, overcoming objections, securing business, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Experience collaborating with builders, and/or retail customers in similar sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish rapport and effectively engage and influence individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in using systems such as MS Office Suite, Salesforce, and other relevant tools.
