Located in Quirindi, on the Liverpool Plains region of NSW, we are a mixed animal veterinary practice that offers a high level of veterinary care for all animals large and small! We provide services for horses, cattle, dogs and cats in Quirindi, Tamworth, Murrurundi and Nundle and the wider Liverpool Plains area.

Quirindi is located in a beautiful rural area close to the large regional centre of Tamworth. Quirindi has a great community with fantastic local amenities, sporting facilities and essential services as well as a vibrant local culture of events and festivals throughout the year.

About the position:

  • We are looking for a mixed animal veterinarian.
  • Our current mix is 40% cattle work (beef), 55% companion animal and 5% various other
  • Full-time position available.
  • Shared afterhours with 1 night a week and 1 weekend in 5 on call. All calls go through our Vet Triage team which means the nurses take the calls and only ring you if needed and deposit has been taken!
  • All duties in our clinic are shared equally with the team. We enjoy great teamwork and have a fantastic group of supportive and experienced vets and nurses.

This position is also eligible for the Feedlot Development Program. This program is suitable for mixed animal veterinarians who are interested in pursuing feedlot consultancy work with the support of a tailored development program and industry leading mentors. This program is eligible for extra bonus payments of up to $25,000 on top of your salary. See more about the program here.

About you:

You are a vet who enjoys the challenge of a true mixed animal general practice.

You enjoy gaining new knowledge and skills about a range of species.

You are an experienced vet or a motivated and confident new graduate.

Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues and willingness to work as part of a team and a positive can-do attitude to enhance patient care and client experience.

What we offer:

including a base salary of $75,000 super for new graduates up to $120,000 (depending on experience)
