In this role, you’ll:

Join our Greater Sydney, Planning and Programs Business Services team as a Ministerial and Business Services Officer on a permanent, full time basis.

You will oversee the day-to-day operational management and coordination of advice from business units within the branch. This encompasses tasks such as preparing high quality responses to responses to correspondence, processing briefing notes, and offering support services for Parliamentary and Cabinet matters. These responsibilities are aimed at meeting the needs of the Minister, Transport Senior Executive, and Executive Director of Planning and Programs.

You will establish effective relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the punctuality and quality of Ministerial and Executive deliverables. Additionally, you will coordinate the timely creation of essential documents and materials required for Ministerial and Executive meetings.

About you

You will demonstrate previous experience working in a ministerial liaison office, providing executive support, or functioning as a Department Liaison Officer within a politically sensitive environment that adheres to parliamentary deadlines.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are of utmost importance to the successful delivery of this role, so you will have a natural flair for communicating through various channels. A high level of resilience and attention to detail is also essential when operating in this fast paced environment.
