Mining Supervisor

Aurelia Metals Limited is an Australian gold and base metals mining and exploration company. We own and operate two underground mines and processing facility in New South Wales and have an enviable portfolio of organic growth prospects in the region. 

The Role

Are you an experienced mining professional looking to lead and inspire a team in an underground environment? Were seeking a dedicated Mining Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient production at Peak Gold Mine.

In this role, youll provide statutory supervision of mining activities, fostering a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with NSW mining regulations. Youll lead a team of operators, coordinating daily operations to meet production targets while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be essential as you drive continuous improvement and support the success of the mining team.

Roster: 7/7 (Rotating Day/Night)

Location: Peak Mine – Cobar NSW

Travel Requirements: Residential, DIDO or FIFO

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise production activities, ensuring compliance with NSW Mines Regulations
• Lead, coach, and mentor mining crews to build a high-performing team
• Manage mine dewatering, including drainers, sumps, and strainers
• Maintain safe and productive decline roadway conditions
• Provide clear handovers on production and safety updates
• Communicate safety information and conduct crew briefings
• Complete safety checks, inspections, and observations
• Develop and oversee shift plans aligned with the weekly plan
• Provide updates to support weekly planning
• Identify and support production improvement initiatives
• Escalate issues impacting production or safety

About You

• Current NSW Metalliferous Underground Mine Supervisor Certificate of Competence/Practising Certificate
• At least 7 years of relevant mining experience
• Current C Class drivers licence
• Previous mining experience, including proven shift supervisor experience
• Strong safety focus and commitment to visible safety leadership
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
