The Opportunity:
Working in partnership with our client, Techforce Personnel are seeking a Mining Superintendent to join a leading company on a long-term open-pit project. This is a great opportunity to join an well-established business to oversee day-to-day mining operations with an opportunity to shape operational performance and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and output targets
- Collaborate with engineering and geology teams to execute mine plans
- Monitor and adjust schedules to meet operational goals
- Mentor and manage a team of supervisors, operators, and technical personnel
- Oversee mobile plant utilisation and liaise with maintenance to optimize availability
- Coordinate resources across crews, machinery, and support services
Key Requirements:
- 8 years in mining/production roles, with 3 years in a superintendent position
- Open-pit mining and mobile plant experience is essential
- Section 44 and Schedule 26 (Statutory) or willingness to obtain
- Valid National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug & Alcohol screen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
