 Merchandise Assistant Clothing Department -Part Time

  • Rotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 4am and finishes until 12am

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Folds, straightens, and arranges clothing in layers on stacked pallets to maintain attractive merchandise presentation. Hangs and straightens clothing on racks, straightens shoes, underwear, and other clothing items.
  • Follow s merchandising standards and practices. Aligns merchandise, groups items by colour or size, keep stacks level, and collects

and returns stray items. Checks for correct merchandise signs.

  • Assists in folding and restocking saleable clothing brought by supervisors from the refund area to sales floor. Spots for Forklift Drivers to

keep people out of fall-danger zone.

  • Clears sales floor of debris. Removes empty pallets from the sales floor, operates cardboard baler and trash compactor.
  • Communicates with Night Supervisor or Duty Manager to report progress and receive direction. Follows established inventory prop

guidelines prior to physical inventory.

  • Follows proper Merchandising and general safety procedures and standards. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Assists members in locating sizes, direct

members to other merchandise and relates merchandise knowledge.

Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry-specific skills that candidates should possess):

  • Education/Training: Higher School Certificate or higher
  • Licenses/Certifications: None.
  • Experience: Customer experience or comparable service

Knowledge/Skills: Basic Maths Skills, AS400
