Mechanical Trades – Mandalong

About the Role

We are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters that want to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our northern based operation Mandalong Mine.

Conveniently located in the Lake Macquarie region, a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast, this role is an excellent opportunity to work in an Underground Longwall – based mining operation.

This key operational role presents the opportunity for qualified and committed personnel to contribute directly to the success of Mandalongs mining operations and open the door to a secure future. 

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:

   Maintenance and repairs of underground equipment and plant. Longwall, Development and Out-bye infrastructure.
   Installation, commissioning, repairs, maintenance and decommissioning of new equipment and structures.
   Production based activities. 
   Surface maintenance and repair to mine services, ventilation fans and gas plant as required.

Suitable candidates will have

   Certificate III Engineering Mechanical
   HRWL e.g. dogging, forklift etc
   Diesel Explosion System certification 
   Drivers license
   Excellent work ethic and attendance record
   Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
