Mechanical Fitter – FIFO Pilbara (Casual Shutdowns)

About Us At RCR Mining Technologies Service Delivery, we provide specialist support for shutdowns, installations, and breakdowns across the Pilbara. Our dedicated team ensures major equipment continues to operate safely and productively.

The Opportunity We are looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters to join us on a casual FIFO basis for shutdown work. In this role, you will:

• Disassemble, overhaul, and reassemble gearboxes, pumps, pulleys, valves, screens, and other OEM components with a high degree of precision.
• Operate, maintain, and service mechanical equipment consistent with your trade.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions accurately.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in excellent condition.
• Provide constructive suggestions for improvements to tooling, workflows, and site conditions.
• Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols, including but not limited to: Lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energy isolation before maintenance begins. Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

What Youll Need

• Minimum 2 years experience working on mining sites.
• Trade certification as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Valid Heavy Rigid Work Licence (HRWL).
• Cclass drivers licence.
• Current certification for Entry & Work in Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, and Gas Test Atmospheres (valid within the last 2 years).
• First Attack Firefighting Equipment certification.
• Strong safety mindset and an ability to work well as part of a collaborative team.
• Ensure your own and others safety by using correct PPE, conducting risk assessments, and reporting hazards immediately.
