Mechanical Fitter

ugl industrials have an opportunity for mechanical fitters with power station experience to join our on-site maintenance team.  this position will support the site in the day-to-day maintenance activities over a 4 day week (36hrs).  you will have the option to participate in outages for additional overtime and development opportunities.

this position is a residential role with no living away from home provisions or facility for non-local employees.  local applicants from the nanango / kingaroy region are strongly encouraged to apply.

to be considered for the role, ideally you will possess the following skills, experience and attributes\:

  • previous experience working on a power station preferred
  • australian recognised trade certificate mechanical fitter, fitter or fitter & turner
  • construction industry induction (white / blue card)
  • high risk work licence lf, wp preferred but not essential
  • nationally accredited working at heights certification valid within 3 years
  • nationally accredited confined space certification valid within 3 years
  • drivers licence
  • ability to work effectively in a small team
  • high levels of attention to detail
  • excellent communication skills
  • great time management skills

previous experience working on a power station preferred
