The Role

 

As the Mechanical Division Manager, you’ll be instrumental in working with the Head of Internal Services in the establishment of the Mechanical Division as an expansion to their existing internal divisions of Project Management, Design, Site Management, Manufacturing, Electrical, Partitioning and Plumbing. You’ll take the helm and be responsible for the Mechanical Division operations, delivery of projects and staff as the team naturally grows. You’ll provide guidance, direction and leadership for the division, as well as acquiring resources for the division, coordinating the efforts of the team, third-party contractors and consultants to ensure on time and on budget delivery of projects. This role could suit an ambitious HVAC Project Manager, Site Manager, or Estimator with a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Licence who is looking to take a step up into a leadership position.

 

A day in the life of the Mechanical Division Manager role may include:

 

  • Strategy planning for the establishment of the division, assisting with obtaining company licence, developing documentation and the introduction and engagement of HVAC suppliers and contractors.
  • Driving and maintaining operational performance of the division.
  • Providing monthly finance reporting on the division to the finance team.
  • Coordinating and managing the design preparation of D&C projects including attending sites, problem solving, scoping and pricing.
  • Overseeing and driving HVAC safety requirements for the division.

 

About You

 

  • Bachelors Degree, Diploma or Trade Certificate III in Air Conditioning and refrigeration.
  • Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors Licence is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial HVAC industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personal drive, initiative and resourcefulness.
