A bit about the role
Promote the quality of life and independence of families with young children, ensuring the provision of a comprehensive Maternal and Child Health Service, as part of our multidisciplinary team.
This is a Limited Tenure (Parental Leave) opportunity to 13 February .
What youll deliver
- Evidence-informed practice and high-quality, safe and inclusive Maternal and Child Health Services
- Assess, monitor and promote the health, growth, development and behaviour of young children 0-6 years
- Counselling and support in a non-judgmental safe environment for individuals and families, on a wide variety of parenting and family related issues.
- Health education and information about relevant community resources and services
- Assist and support clients to link into other services and resources where the need is identified.
What youll bring
- A positive, collaborative approach to delivering best practise Maternal and Child Health services
- A drive to learn and support families with the latest information that supports best outcomes
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Child & Family Health as recognised in Victoria to practice in Maternal and Child Health
- Current AHPRA Registration as Division 1 Nurse and Midwife
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including Criminal History, Working with Children, Victorian Drivers License, Functional Assessment
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
We recognise prior Long Service Leave accrued in the public sector for Maternal and Child Health Nurses, subject to employer agreement and applicable conditions.
