Materials Hoist Operator

About the opportunity

We are currently seeking a ticketed Materials Hoist Operator for a structured refurbishment project in Wollongong. The project is well established, with an autonomous crew already onsite and a steady workflow planned. This is an ongoing opportunity, suited to candidates who value consistent hours, clear expectations, and a professional site environment. While hoist operation is a key requirement, this role will also suit capable construction workers who are happy to support general site activities as required.

What you’ll do

• Depending on experience and tickets, duties may include:
• Operating a materials-only hoist (no personnel lifting)
• Assisting with materials handling and organisation
• General site labouring and support duties if required
• Assisting trades and maintaining site presentation
• General clean-up, prep work and toolbox participation
• A hands-on, team-focused approach is essential.

What You’ll Need (and How to Get Started)

• Construction White Card (mandatory)
• For hoist operation: High Risk Work Licence HM (Materials Hoist)
• Previous construction or refurbishment site experience
• Confident following site direction and working autonomously
• Strong safety awareness and good site etiquette
• Punctual, reliable and physically fit
