QLS has a full-time permanent opportunity for a Manager to join their Licensing team. The Licensing team works within the Regulation division to discharge the regulatory functions of QLS under the Legal Profession Act . 

In this role you will:

  • Lead and mentor the solicitors of the Licensing team.
  • Conduct and manage files in relation to regulatory matters.
  • Provide legal advice to the General Manager, Regulation regarding the regulation of the legal profession.
  • Draft and update policies and procedures, guidelines, indemnity rules and website content, that relate to QLS regulatory functions and matters.

Ideally you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, with at least 7 years post admission experience.
  • Current practising certificate or eligibility for grant of a local practising certificate.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
