About The Role Whitehaven Coal is seeking a Commercial Manager for our Gunnedah Open Cut Operations. Lead the commercial team, drive budgets, manage audits, and support site projects. This Monday-Friday role offers the opportunity to discuss DIDO arrangements that suit the right candidate. What You’ll Do Lead and manage the commercial team, including the Commercial Superintendent, Senior Administrator, and Warehouse Coordinator Oversee budgeting, reforecasting, cost control, and financial reporting for the Gunnedah Open Cut Operations Administer budgets for construction, development, and operational projects, ensuring cost-effective outcomes Maintain internal controls and data integrity across financial and commercial systems Provide accurate and timely reporting to Whitehaven, Joint Venture members, and auditors Support commercial aspects of projects, contracts, and operational initiatives to reduce risk and maximise value What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting with an understanding of Australian Accounting Standards Professional membership (CA or CPA) Significant leadership experience in a commercial role, ideally within mining operations Experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial reporting in a multi-site or operational environment Strong analytical skills, Excel modelling, and experience with systems such as Pulse (desirable) or TM1 Why Whitehaven Coal?
