Mineco has a position available for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to showcase their skills and add value to its mining services operations. This is an opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver a quality service to our valued clients throughout the Gunnedah region.

At Maules creek we delivered a brand-new fleet of small to medium size Hitachi Excavators, Bell B45E, Cat 740GC trucks, along with other equipment including Dozers, Loaders, and graders. An opportunity exists for the correct person to be responsible for delivering a safe and reliable fleet of equipment to meet our client’s needs.

You will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful applicant will oversee the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities, carried out by the rostered maintenance crew. You will identify, monitor and develop high levels of compliance with regards to workmanship, documentation and defect management within your team and work closely with the site manager to ensure maintenance is planned to reduce down time.

You will be responsible for equipment reliability and condition monitoring through inspections and best practices of maintaining your fleet including maintenance planning with our maintenance support team, you will also be working with OEMs on warranty issues while maintaining cost control and working towards continuous improvement initiatives and compliance of equipment and personnel. Your Skills and Experience:

• Certificate of Proficiency in Plant Mechanic or equivalent

• Relevant Supervisor Certificates – G1,8,9 (formerly S1,2,3) or willing to obtain.

• Proven experience in coordination of timely day to day Maintenance operations, including the planning and coordination of maintenance rebuilds of Mobile plant equipment to site specific standards.

• Ensure the work area and operations are in alignment with safety standards.

• Ability to complete equipment inspections and audits to drive reliability.

• Working to targets and deadlines maintaining employee morale and culture.

• Sound communication and organizational skills.

• Strong safety and performance culture with commitment and ability to lead the team to ensure work is to the highest safety standards.

• Ability to make business critical decisions and problem solve.

• Ability to work to plan to achieve business goals.

• Minimum 2- years’ experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role on a mine site.

• Experience in Mining and Mobile Plant Equipment essential.

• Ability to lead and enhance culture.

• Ability to use Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
