Maintenance Service Coordinator – The Role: 

Our Maintenance Service Coordinators are a Jack of All Trades, who are willing to flexible in their working style, and happy to work both independently as well as part of a team. This role will keep you busy, whilst offering variety in duties day-to-day. You could be tasked with completing general repairs such as basic plumbing, light bulb changes, painting, plastering and basic carpentry, or may be required to carry out general investigative work to ascertain potential issues, and engage appropriate contractors. You will need to have the physical ability to carry out your duties; and able to establish good working relations with contractors, staff and residents alike. Communication skills (both verbal and written) are key in this role as our staff and residents come from diverse backgrounds.

Your responsibilities as Maintenance Service Coordinator will include but not be limited to:  

  • Upkeep of the fire stairwells, storerooms, and rubbish removal primarily via contractors
  • General maintenance repairs and cleaning services including the coordination of contractors and specialist services
  • Complete a daily check of plant equipment, common facilities and property specific requirements
  • Work within and maintain procedures and standards for all operational areas to maximise efficiency of resources
  • Obtain written quotes for approval by the property manager, where required
  • Maintain the highest level of maintenance, safety and security at all times
  • Operate within agreed company health and safety procedures. Follow industry and statutory regulations at all times
  • Provide assistance in a professional and efficient matter to staff and residents
  • Be responsible for the general maintenance and minor repairs for the common areas, the BBQ, the iron facilities, and lights throughout the building
