The Company
A leading national food manufacturing company, known for our high quality products and commitment to innovation and sustainability. They have manufacturing facilities across Australia and we are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance/Automation Electrician to join the dedicated team. 

The Role
As a Maintenance/Automation Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production equipment and electrical systems. You will be responsible for carrying out preventive and reactive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and ensuring the continuous uptime of all electrical systems on-site.

What makes this role different: You will be involved on the automaton/robotics of the business. We are looking for automation/robotic experience with a strong understanding of PLCs

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Maintenance Electrician you will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • The Maintenance Electrician will carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize downtime.
  • This Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot electrical faults and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and collaborate with the team to enhance equipment reliability along with other Maintenance Electricians
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times.
  • The Maintenance Electrician will maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
  • This Maintenance Electrician will work on electrical panels, motors, drives, PLCs, and other control systems.
  • Assist with installations and commissioning of new equipment as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in automation/robotics
  • Strong PLC understanding
  • Trade qualification as an Electrician (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high safety and quality standards.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to contribute to process improvements.
