Long Term Planner

The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Long Term Planner to join our Planning team in Perth, WA on a Permanent Full Time Basis. 

Reporting to the Long Term Planning Team Lead, you will play a key role in developing Integrated Activity Plans for all maintenance and project work for APA assets. You will also focus on optimising resource utilisation throughout the planning and scheduling process.   

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate Regional Annual Plans & grid-based Integrated Activity Plans (IAP)
  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify, review and approve activities throughout the Long Term Planning process.
  • Forecast, validate and communicate future activity and resource requirements (project, operations and baseline resources).
  • Make recommendations to update data requirements in the CMMS primarily through task grouping and alignment analysis.
  • Deliver scheduled reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the optimisation of the Long Term Planning Process.

Your background 

  • Demonstrated experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities or similarly relevant heavy industries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with different cross functional teams on a variety of assets and projects.
  • Proven capability to work with a team to implement continuous improvement within Operations and Engineering processes.
  • Proven CMMS experience (Maximo, SAP or similar).
  • An aptitude for seeking efficiencies in data handling and reporting.
  • Strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental process and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in a maintenance planning and scheduling, asset management and optimisation or similarly relevant roles.

About the Team 

The Planning and Scheduling team forms an integral part of the wider Engineering and Planning team. Via a collaborative and results oriented partnership, we provide optimised plans and schedules to our Operations and Maintenance stakeholders. We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and nimble team player to join us on a permanent full time contract.
