Midland Brick is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to oversea all aspects of vehicle management, driver compliance and continually monitor the transportation department efficiency and performance and look for ways to improve productivity, reduce errors and reduce business costs in order to manage a safe working environment whilst eliminating risk.
Your role will include:
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain regulatory compliance, including permits, Shire Letters, and accreditation audits.
- Oversee Safe Loading Plans and drive continuous improvement in accreditation and compliance systems.
- Lead training programs, coaching, and performance management for drivers, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Act as the key liaison between drivers, supervisors, customers, and management, ensuring smooth operations and high service standards.
- Implement proactive safety initiatives, risk management strategies, and regulatory compliance measures.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to WA Fatigue Guidelines and workplace safety policies.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in transport compliance, driver management, and accreditation oversight at a senior level.
- Proven leadership in managing teams, driving training programs, and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, accreditation processes, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic compliance and safety initiatives to drive business excellence.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation and process improvement.
