The Opportunity: 

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Livestock Data Coordinator to join our Agribusiness team based in Perths CBD. We would also consider candidates who wish to work from our offices in Harvey or Koojan Downs, WA.

Reporting to the General Manager Livestock, you will provide the key administrative functions required to facilitate record and execute the purchase, sale, transfer of livestock across the Harvest Road Pastoral group of companies.

This role involves:

  • Carrying out accurate costing, receipting and recording the commercial transactions for the purchases of livestock from the agreed point of supply to the agreed destination, e.g. Property, Feedlot or Processing facilit
  • Creating and issuing the livestock values for both internal & external Livestock transactions and Invoicing.
  • Ensuring the Mob Data records are accurate for Weekly & Monthly financial reporting.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of SMA, Paddock Book & Stock on Hand reports for EOM reporting.
  • Reporting all relevant operational and customer matters to your line manager, with the objective to strengthen and service relationships with both internal & external suppliers.
  • Working with the livestock team to ensure all functions are covered in the department.
  • Complying with all HSE, Quality Assurance obligations and requirements, whether stated in law or in ACC Policies and Procedures.
  • Delivering sound and accurate information to ensure internal customer needs are met.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records of all cattle purchased from Saleyard and Direct vendor.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Business.
  • Previous experience with data entry and administration essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to organise/prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working under pressure.
  • Experience working in the region and/or agricultural industry and understanding of agricultural supply chains.
  • Experience with databases, Microsoft Access or similar.
  • Strong focus on safety, animal welfare and bio-security standards.
  • Hold a current drivers licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Strong level of skill in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Ability to work constructively within a team.
  • Flexibility – able to meet changing requirements.
