Key Responsibilities
- Shape long-term strategy with in-depth market intelligence across global energy trends
- Drive high-impact commercial strategies and optimise diverse asset portfolios
- Lead investment analysis and scenario modelling for billion-dollar projects
- Enhance operational performance using LP and advanced optimisation tools
- Integrate technical feasibility with commercial viability to maximise project value
- Engage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Support energy transition planning with insights on sustainability and low-carbon growth
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering is essential; further education in Economics or a Masters degree in a related discipline (e.g. Business, Engineering) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in strategic planning, economic evaluation, and feasibility studies within the energy, refining, or petrochemical sectors.
- Proven capability in preparing budget proposals and leading engineering studies with a focus on commercial and technical integration.
- Expertise in process/system simulation and economic modelling of refinery or petrochemical operations, including hands-on experience with linear programming (LP) models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-impact strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in advanced modelling tools and economic analysis software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical and economic concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and executive audiences.
